Ranga Yogeshwar honors vigram®
Überlingen – Congratulations at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates vigram GmbH from Freiburg on being awarded the TOP 100 seal. The award ceremony at the Summit will take place on Friday, June 23, in Augsburg for all medium-sized companies that received the TOP 100 seal at the beginning of the year. The science journalist is accompanying the innovation competition, which is being held for the 30th time, as a mentor. In the scientific selection process, vigram was particularly impressive in the size category A (up to 50 employees) in the category “external orientation / open innovation”.

“Smart documentation” on the construction site: For this purpose, the medium-sized company has developed, among other things, a small measurement tool that, docked to a smartphone, makes surveying on the construction site child’s play. Based on a digital platform solution, people on site can work collaboratively faster, more efficiently and without large equipment. “In this way, we are setting completely new standards in the digitization of construction sites,” explains founder and CEO Nicolai Nolle. To ensure that such solutions succeed, the company has consistently relied on partnerships and cooperations since its founding in 2019. In addition, vigram is the spin-off of an experienced engineering firm: “Very important practical knowledge comes from this cooperation, especially on 'Building Information Modeling’, a working method for the networked planning, construction and management of buildings by means of software,” says the other founder and CEO Sidon Futterknecht. Many other partner companies add essential knowledge directly from the construction site to the team’s development expertise. “Even in the pilot phase, we are working closely with partners from the field, such as small construction companies,” says Futterknecht.

Staff with adventurer DNA
Important innovation impulses also come from the digitally closely networked team: "All of our employees from twelve nations are experts in their field and very enthusiastic about innovation," reports Nolle. Many of them are university graduates and bring the latest findings, for example on artificial intelligence, from research to the start-up. It's no wonder that such a team always initiates new innovation projects, 90% of which are also realized in the shortest possible time, as Nolle confirms: "Breaking new ground is simply in our DNA. And we are extremely fast and unerring in doing so."
